Bourbon Council Holds Budget Hearing

The Bourbon Town Council held a Public Hearing on the 2024 Budget for the Town of Bourbon during their regular meeting in September.

Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger provided a copy of that budget to all the council members. This year’s budget estimates a 9.2% increase from last year.

The General Fund for 2024 is estimated at $1,211,000, Motor Vehicles is estimated at $331,000, Cumulative Capital Improvement is estimated at $20,000.

Berger stated that there were not many changes to this year’s budget from last year apart from the increase in the General Fund.

Funds were also designated for 2024 from the Redevelopment Commission: $60,000 for infrastructure and $20,000 for the downtown improvement initiative.

There were no questions or comments on the 2024 Budget during the hearing. The final adoption is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26 at 6 p.m. ET at the Town Hall located at 121 East Center Street.
