Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of Michigan and LaPorte Street for a vehicle crash Wednesday, September 6 at 12:05 a.m. ET.
An investigation at the scene found that the driver, Austin N. Clark, 18, of South Bend was reportedly nearly two times the legal limit of alcohol.
He was arrested and booked in to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated above .15, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering, and illegal consumption.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
