Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to 309 Kingston Road for an accident in the parking lot Friday, August 4 at 7:18 p.m. ET.
Officers arrived at the scene and their investigation determined that 33-year-old Shaun Dewing of Plymouth was the driver and had struck a parked car, according to the report.
Police say Dewing was given a standardized field sobriety test and was later transported to the hospital for a chemical test and jail clearance.
He was reportedly found to be over three times the legal limit for alcohol and was taken to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
