A South Bend man was arrested Wednesday, August 23 following a warrant service in Marshall County.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies, along with K9 officer Diesel, conducted a warrant service on 12th Road around 10:30 p.m. ET where they located 50-year-old William Mitchell of South Bend.
Mitchell had an active felony warrant through St. Joseph County on the original charge of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting while fleeing, and carrying a handgun without a license with a prior conviction. Mitchell also had an active felony warrant through Marshall County for the original charge of non-support of a dependent child.
While conducting the warrant service, Mitchell allegedly resisted law enforcement before being safely taken into custody.
He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
