One person was arrested following an accident in Marshall County Sunday, August 27.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the single-vehicle car vs. pole accident at 7:43 p.m. ET on Plymouth-Goshen Trail.
The suspected driver involved was seen walking away from the accident and was stopped by Bremen police officers.
He was identified as Troy L. Bowman, 42, of Bremen. Police say Bowman had been drinking and was taken to the Plymouth hospital for a certified test where it was found he had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent.
Bowman was then treated and taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and possession of marijuana.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
