Plymouth Police Department officers were traveling east on Jefferson Street approaching Third Street when a man was seen crawling on the edge of the roadway around 11 p.m. ET Thursday, July 27.
The officers stopped to assist and evaluate the subject who was later identified as Oscar Gama-Barrios, 47, of Plymouth.
Gama-Barrios was reportedly found to be highly intoxicated and was transported to the Plymouth hospital for medical evaluation.
He was booked in the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of public intoxication.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
