Plymouth Police Department officers responded to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday, August 16 just before 9 a.m. ET at Lake Avenue and Oak Road.
During the investigation, it was believed that one of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol. The suspected driver, Cristen R. Birk, 32, of Plymouth was taken into custody and taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated-endangering, operating while intoxicated on a controlled substance and possession of a legend drug.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
