Plymouth Police Department Investigates Domestic Battery Incidents

Plymouth Police Department officers recently investigated two domestic battery calls.

Officers were called to Skylane Drive on a possible domestic battery Saturday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET.  After arriving at the scene, officers took Benjamin Spaid, 45, of Plymouth into custody for the suspected battery.  He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

In a separate incident, officers began an investigation at 10:20 a.m. ET Monday, August 14 on a complaint of domestic violence.

Police say it was determined that the victim had sustained serious bodily injury along with being held against their will by the suspect, Michael Morales, 45, of Plymouth.

Morales was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of domestic battery, criminal confinement and strangulation.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
