Gunshots Prompt Call to Plymouth Police Department

Plymouth Police Department officers and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to West Jefferson Street in Plymouth Monday, July 31 regarding a report of shots fired and someone yelling for help.

Police say it was determined at the scene that a physical altercation had occurred in the residence and a handgun was discharged outside of the house near the front porch.

The suspect in question had reportedly fled the location prior to police arriving. The suspect’s vehicle was located shortly after at River Park Square by a Plymouth officer.

Michael Carver, 28, of Tippecanoe was taken into custody and a firearm was located on his person, according to the report.  Carver was booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of criminal recklessness, criminal confinement, and two counts of domestic battery.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
