Director of Marshall County Community Corrections Ward Byers announced his resignation Thursday during the Community Corrections Advisory Board meeting.
His last day will be Tuesday, July 18.
He assured the Advisory Board and Marshall County that he is leaving the community in good hands with a great team and that he will be available to assist through the transition.
Byers is taking another position in the community.
Jill McKinney will serve as Interim Director during the hiring process as the board seeks his replacement.
