Marshall County Dispatch received a report Saturday, July 1 at 12:14 a.m. ET of a car being stuck by the railroad tracks on 1st Road in Plymouth.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the area and located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 59-year-old Steven Myers. During the investigation, police say it became apparent that Myers had been drinking.
He was taken to the hospital for a certified chemical test and was then transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or more.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
