Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies made an arrest for possession Thursday, July 20.
At 6:30 p.m. ET, deputies conducted a warrant service on James W. Bailey Jr., 33, of Walkerton at the Family Express on South Michigan in Plymouth. Bailey had a felony warrant through Marshall County.
While being taken into custody he attempted to swallow two bags of suspected methamphetamine, according to the report. Deputies were able to prevent him from doing so.

Suspected drugs were located in the vehicle.
Bailey and Shepperd were taken to the Marshall County Jail. Bailey was booked on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, obstruction of justice, resisting law enforcement, and the active warrant. Shepperd was booked on a preliminary charge of possession of a legend drug.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
