Plymouth Police Department officers were called to the Economy Inn on North Michigan in Plymouth Sunday, July 23 in response to several 911 hang-up calls.
Witnesses at the scene told police that they heard a female scream from the room and that a possible domestic disturbance was taking place, according to the report.
Upon further investigation, officers took Lorenz Che Wenger, 24, of Goshen into custody on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
