Several raises were approved by the Triton School Board during their meeting Monday night.
The first raise included a 10-cent raise in the price of school lunches for students and adults. Superintendent Jeremy Riffle told the board that the school was mandated by the state to make the raise periodically and has done its best to keep it from being a yearly event.
Also raised was the pay for some employees. Hourly staff will see a 50-cent-an-hour increase in their paychecks. Bus drivers will see a $2 an-hour raise and salaried employees a total bump of $1,500. Riffle asked for a $2,200 increase for the various directors of departments in the corporation as well as the rollover of current administrators’ contracts although the administrators’ salaries would be determined after negotiations.
The board unanimously approved the actions.
