Traffic Stop Results in Drug Arrest

Plymouth Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Tuesday that led to the arrest of  Brady Hoover, 18, of Plymouth for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

At 9:30 p.m. ET, officers were informed that a person was suspected of smoking marijuana at the basketball courts on the northeast side of Centennial Park. A suspect vehicle was observed allegedly committing traffic infractions while leaving the park and a traffic stop was made. K9 officer Castor assisted during the stop and indicated the presence of narcotics.

Hoover was taken to the Marshall County Jail with the additional charge of possession of a controlled substance within 500 feet of a park/school.

In a separate incident Tuesday, June 6, Plymouth Police were called to a report of a reckless driver. A traffic stop was made on US 30 near Queen Road.

Officers making the stop found that Ralph Dunston of London, Ohio was driving with a suspended license, according to the report. K9 officer Castor indicated the possibility of narcotics and police say a search revealed a syringe and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Dunston was detained in the Marshall County Jail.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
