In Monday night’s meeting, Plymouth Park Superintendent Mike Hite told the Plymouth Park Board that the Plymouth pool will be open slightly ahead of schedule.
Hite told the board that the pool will officially open Thursday, June 8. The initial opening of the facility was pushed back to Monday, June 12 when a hole was discovered in the liner that had to be repaired. Hite said the process went faster than usual allowing a quicker opening.
Centennial Crossings approached the board to find out if they would be receptive to accepting the donation of land. Centennial Crossings would like to donate a section of wooded area that they currently own adjoining the Price’s Pond property. The board told the owners that they would be interested in the property.
Plymouth resident Wesley Skiles approached the board about expanding the current disc golf course in Centennial Park. The current course is five holes that was originally built as part of an Eagle Scout project. Skiles would like to expand the course to nine holes at his own expense. The board approved the idea of moving ahead with the project.
