PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth Community School Board approved a plan for redistricting during their regular meeting on Tuesday night.
The plan has been the subject of several local meetings and board discussions and on Tuesday the board unanimously approved option three of that plan.
Under option three:
– Buses will transport students in the area they are assigned to the elementary of that district on the option three map.
– Parents who wish their children to continue to send their students to a current school out of their district will be required to provide transportation.
– Continuous enrollment of a current family member is required for students to attend an out of district elementary. First time enrolled families will not be given the option to attend a school outside of their district.
– Blended families must select one of the parent’s addresses as their district school. Students will only be transported to that district school.
– Buses will only transport within that district. If sitters reside outside the district, the parent or sitter is responsible for that transportation.
