The Bourbon Town Council members heard from Helen and Heather Johnson of the Tippecanoe Wythougan Daughters of the American Revolution who presented information on an opportunity for residents to purchase banners of their veteran loved ones – past and present – to be displayed through the town.

Banners cost $125 and will include a photo, the veteran’s name, rank, and branch of military service. Order forms to honor your veteran or veterans can be picked up at the Town Hall in Bourbon or can be found online at www.bourbon-in.gov.

Additionally, Director of Bourbon Public Library Nick Treber requested a donation from the town to support the annual summer reading program. His request was approved in the amount of $300. Treber reported over 330 participants in the program last year which serves patrons of all ages. Individuals and organizations interested in making an additional contribution to support the program should contact Treber at ntreber@bourbon.lib.in.us.
