Time will “spring ahead” one hour this weekend. Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 12 at 2 a.m. local time.
Before going to bed Saturday night, make sure all manual clocks are turned ahead one hour. Some digital devices may automatically change the time for you.
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security also encourages residents to change batteries in smoke alarms when the time changes. Officials say it is also good to test alarms once a month and replace alarms that are more than 10 years old.
