PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety received one fuel bid from Ceres Solutions for the Fixed Pricing Rate for the City of Plymouth.
The bid for 22,500 gallons of ultra low sulfur diesel fuel – highway use came in at $3.517 per gallon
which included the per gallon rate of $2.9560, the State Excise Tax fee of $0.550, an Inspection fee of $0.010, and the L.U.S.T. Tax of $0.0001.
The bid for 40,000 gallons of Countrymark 87 e-10 Plus Gasoline – 87 Octane Unleaded came in at $2.9890 per gallon which included the per gallon rate of $2.6480, the State Excise Tax of $0.330, an Inspection fee of $0.010, and the L.U.S.T. Tax of $0.001.
That pricing was guaranteed from March 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024 upon notification from the City of Plymouth.
Street Department Superintendent Jimmy Marquardt noted that diesel is slightly higher than last year while gasoline is lower.
Market pricing can fluctuate daily so Marquardt requested permission to work with Ceres to lock in best pricing.
His request was approved unanimously.
