Essential workers can continue to get help paying for childcare. The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration says the Build, Learn, Grow scholarship has been extended through next March.
It covers 20 to 80 percent of the cost of early education and before- and after-school care, depending on a family’s income. To qualify, a household must have at least one adult working in an essential business. The FSSA says more than 40,000 scholarships are still available for kids up to age 12.
Build, Learn, Grow is funded by more than $101 million from the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act. More information can be found at BuildLearnGrow.org.
