Starke County has reported another COVID-19 death. The death occurred on May 28, but was just added to the Indiana Department of Health’s dashboard on Saturday. That brings Starke County’s total COVID-19 death count to 58.
Meanwhile, Pulaski County has reported its 1,200th COVID-19 case, with Starke and Pulaski counties each adding one new case to their counts on Saturday. No additional cases were reported in Marshall County.
The local area’s vaccination rate continues to lag behind that of the state as a whole. More than 39 percent of Pulaski County residents age 12 and up are now fully vaccinated, with Marshall County’s percentage close behind. Starke County is just barely over 31 percent.
