Two people were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing, after a Marshall County sheriff’s deputy reportedly found them passed out in an SUV at a LaPaz gas station early Thursday morning. Police say they found about 20 grams of meth, eight grams of heroin, controlled substance pills, and a meth pipe inside the vehicle.
Richard Eugene Perkinson Jr., 36, and Christene Nichole Shepherd, 29, of Logansport, are accused of dealing in methamphetamine, dealing in a narcotic drug, and possession of paraphernalia. Officers reportedly found more meth and paraphernalia when Shepherd was being searched at the Marshall County Jail, while Perkinson was also reportedly found to have an active parole warrant.
