Three More COVID-19 Cases Reported in Marshall County

The number of new COVID-19 cases remains low, while the number of residents vaccinated continues to increase. Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health showed three new cases in Marshall County, one new case in Starke County, and one new case in Pulaski County.

Positivity rates remain in the single digits. Marshall County’s seven-day, all-test positivity rate has dropped to 2.5 percent, the lowest level since September. Starke County’s rate is 6.8 percent, while Pulaski County’s is 4.6 percent.

Statewide, another 44 deaths have been reported, bringing Indiana’s confirmed death count to almost 11,900.

Meanwhile, local residents continue to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The first dose has been given to more than 5,300 residents in Marshall County, almost 2,400 in Starke County, and almost 1,800 in Pulaski County. The number of Marshall County residents fully vaccinated is over 2,600, along with almost 800 in Starke County and more than 1,000 in Pulaski County.
