New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Marshall, Starke, Pulaski Counties, Positivity Rates Remain Lower

Another 28 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Marshall County. That’s according to Friday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. Pulaski County reported seven new cases, while Starke County had four.

All three counties are reporting seven-day positivity rates in the single digits for all tests. No new deaths were reported locally.

Meanwhile, local residents continue to get the COVID-19 vaccine. As of Friday, 2,414 Marshall County, 870 Pulaski County, and 828 Starke County residents had gotten their first shot. In Marshall County, 412 residents are now fully vaccinated, along with 121 in Pulaski County and 92 in Starke County.

Another 49 COVID-19 deaths were reported in Indiana Friday. That brings the total death count to 9,267 or more than 9,600 when probable deaths are included. A total of 2,151 Hoosiers were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Thursday, the lowest number since November 7.
