Two more Marshall County residents have died while positive for COVID-19. The deaths occurred on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to Saturday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. They bring the county’s total COVID-19 death count up to 71.
Another 20 positive cases were reported in Marshall County, for a total of 4,376 since the pandemic began. Starke County reported five more positive cases, bringing the total to 1,506, while Pulaski County had another four cases, for a new overall total of 816.
The state as a whole reported nearly 3,900 new cases Saturday, pushing the total over 492,000. Another 30 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died, bringing the total to 7,461. There are also 340 deaths that are believed to be COVID-19-related but with no positive test.
