Lake effect snow could lead to difficult travel Monday and Tuesday. A Winter Storm Watch takes effect at 3:00 a.m. EST Monday and remains in effect until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday for Marshall, Starke, LaPorte, and St. Joseph counties.
The National Weather Service says snow accumulations could vary from less than three inches to more than six inches. The heaviest snow bands could bring one to two inches of snow per hour, and 40 mile-per-hour wind gusts could mean blowing and drifting snow.
