LaVille Elementary School is switching to virtual learning Thursday. In a message to families Wednesday, Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter said the decision was made after a rise in the number of students and staff who’ve either tested positive or been in close contact with someone who has.
For now, the plan is to go back to in-person learning on October 19. In the meantime, Mawhorter says the school plans to deliver meals to students’ homes this Friday and next Monday. In-person learning continues at the junior/senior high school.
