Indiana has surpassed its single-day record for new COVID-19 cases. The Indiana Department of Health reported another 1,495 cases Friday, bringing the state’s total to 122,640. The only time more cases were added to the count was when a backlog of previous cases was incorporated.
Marshall County saw its largest single-day increase since August, with 15 new cases reported Friday. That brings the county’s total up to 1,045. Starke County had one more resident test positive, for a new total of 279.
Another 13 Hoosiers have died, for a new total of 3,429. None of those new deaths were reported locally.
