While most students at the Union-North United School Corporation will move to hybrid learning Tuesday, fourth graders will have to continue with virtual learning for at least another two weeks.
That’s because a LaVille Elementary School teacher has contracted COVID-19, and a total of four staff members now have to quarantine, according to the school corporation’s website. School officials hope to be able to have fourth graders back in the classroom the week of September 21.
This comes as the rest of the school corporation is moving to a hybrid learning model. That means half of the students will attend class in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays, while the other half will be in school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students also have the option to continue attending class virtually.
