Another eight Marshall County residents have tested positive for COVID-19. That brings the county’s total up to 1,029, according to Wednesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. Starke County added two cases, for a new total of 274.
In this week’s color-coded map of COVID-19’s spread, Marshall and Pulaski counties are coded blue, indicating minimal community spread. Starke County is in the yellow category, which means it continues to see moderate spread. Starke County’s positivity rate is also trending upward, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
The state as a whole reported another 965 COVID-19 cases Wednesday, pushing the total over 120,000. More than 3,400 Hoosiers have died, with 20 new deaths reported Wednesday.
