The number of Marshall County residents who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 has surpassed 400. Marshall County is up to 401 positive cases, according to Saturday’s report from the Indiana State Department of Health. That’s an increase of 10 from Friday.
Marshall County has had more positive cases per capita than any of its neighbors except for Elkhart County, but the number of COVID-19 deaths per capita is lower than many other local counties.
Meanwhile, two new cases were reported in Starke County Saturday, bringing the total up to 65. The number of cases in Pulaski County was revised down to 55. Friday’s report initially showed 58 cases, but the Pulaski County Incident Management Team clarified that three of those individuals are believed to live outside of Pulaski County.
No new deaths were reported locally. The state as a whole reported almost 500 new cases Saturday, bringing the total up to 44,575. The number of confirmed deaths is now 2,424, an increase of 21 from Friday.
