Marshall County Community Corrections to Continue Monitoring Clients during Courthouse Closure

The Marshall County Courthouse may be closing to the public, but Marshall County Community Corrections will still be keeping an eye on its clients. That’s according to a press release from Community Corrections Director Ward Byers.

He says case managers and field officers will continue working to monitor and supervise clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Marshall County Community Corrections has been using a smart phone app in addition to GPS monitoring, which Byers says offers another layer of accountability and allows staff members and clients to communicate securely.

He stresses that all Community Corrections terms and conditions remain in effect, with the only difference being how it conducts regular meetings with clients. Staff members plan to continue to have contact with clients both in person and through technology, in order to assure public safety.

Byers says Community Corrections fees can be paid online, by calling 1-866-480-8552, or by dropping payments in the night deposit box on the west side of the courthouse doors.
