Bourbon Police Chief Bill Martin provided the Town Council with an activity report when members met earlier this month.
Chief Martin emphasized that the Town was able to save a significant amount of money thanks to shifts that were covered by reserve officers. According to draft minutes from the meeting, throughout 2019 reserves covered 62 eight-hour shifts resulting in a savings of $13,471.86.
He also told the Council that officers will be able to participate in two upcoming training conferences thanks to an LCC Grant.
Additionally, Martin commended the individuals on the force for the outstanding work they’ve done with several recent cases and arrests.
