The Bourbon Town Council addressed department liaisons when members met for their January meeting.
According to draft minutes from the meeting, it was decided that Les McFarland will serve at the point of contact for the Utility Departments, P.J. Hanley will be the councilman to contact for the Street/Zoning Departments and Council President Ward Byers will serve as liaison for the Police Department.
In addition to that, the draft minutes state that Councilman McFarland provided his fellow members with an update about the process of bringing a Triton High School student on as an honorary member of the Town Government.
This was a topic that School Superintendent Jeremy Riffle discussed with school board members back in December.
McFarland stated that he hopes to have the Triton student in place by the Council’s next meeting in February.
