Argos School Superintendent Ned Speicher recently informed school board members that an ongoing construction project is expected to wrap up before the end of the month.
Speicher shared, “The auditorium is being remodeled and that’s on schedule to be finished here in the month of January.”
This project is being done to update technology in the auditorium and bring it into compliance with modern standards.
Last fall, the school board awarded the project contract to Pro Audio who presented school officials with a base bid of $125,000.
At that time, Speicher mentioned that Pro Audio also included some add-ons, such as a new projector and additional wireless access points, which totaled $16,000. He noted that even with the add-ons, the quote came in under the initial estimated cost for the project.
