A South Bend man was arrested Monday night after reportedly driving a stolen vehicle more 105 miles per hour.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday, December 16th, Sergeant Nicholas Laffoon observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed. It was apparently clocked going 106 miles per hour.
After catching up to the vehicle, a traffic stop was conducted on U.S. 31, south of 12th Road.
The driver was identified as 19-year-old Jeremiah Dockery and through further investigation it was determined that the vehicle was allegedly reported stolen from St. Joseph County.
Dockery was detained at the scene and was later lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Theft and Reckless Driving.
