Bremen School officials recently tweaked their school board meeting procedure to help things run more efficiently according to Superintendent Dr. Jim White.
He explained, “We moved to a consent agenda for three items. We just basically combined the past minutes, the approval of claims and the personnel report into one item.” He continued, “We’re just trying to speed the meeting up a bit and not get bogged down with ‘motion, second, vote, motion, second, vote’ so that went very well for us.
Dr. White noted that school board members are always welcome to pull an item out of the consent agenda to discuss it separately if they that its necessary.
