Bourbon Officials Approve 2020 Salary Ordinance, Wattenbarger Thanked for Years of Service

The Bourbon Town Council considered the 2020 Salary Ordinance when member met Tuesday night.

Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger stated that while there was not a percentage increase this year, a flat-rate $1,000 increase was applied across the board for all full-time employees.

In addition to approving the salary ordinance for next year, members took time to thank Larry Wattenbarger for his years of service to the community. Berger mentioned that he’s been on the town council for more than two decades.

He will be stepping down from the council in January after losing his at-large council seat during a contested race in May’s Municipal Primary Election.
