Bourbon officials recently updated their road asset management plan in order to ensure they’re receiving the correct amount of state distributions related to roadways.
Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger explained that a few of the Town’s roads were not listed on their existing plan so it had to be updated. The roads that were added in included Tulip Court, Crocus Court and Aster Court as well as a short portion of Lincoln Street to the north.
Berger mentioned that having accurate information is important because it impact the state-distributed money, such as Motor Vehicle Highway funds. Additionally, only listed roads can be included for the Community Crossings Matching Grant and other INDOT funding opportunities.
She added that the update information was provided to state officials and she already got a confirmation that they received it.
