The Bourbon Town Council provided approval for a transfer resolution when members met last Tuesday.
Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger explained that the transfer was for a vehicle purchase that was initially approved by the Town Council back in November.
She noted, “We are in the process of purchasing a new police vehicle so we just transferred some of the money from our appropriations this year into the Rainy Day Fund to use that to help pay for that whenever the vehicle finally comes.”
The transfer amount was $35,000. Berger said the vehicle is expected to come in during the first part of the year in January or February.
Last month, members approved a quote that totaled $36,896 for a 2020 F1-50 truck from Oliver Ford.
