The Academic Calendar for the 2020-2021 school year was approved by Argos School Board members when they met Monday night.
Superintendent Ned Speicher stated that the calendar is very similar to the one from last school year, with 180 student days and 183 teacher days.
On the calendar, school officials mention that parent teacher conferences are scheduled for October 7th and 8th of 2020.
Officials also note that e-learning days will be utilized for inclement weather. However, in the event that two or more days are called off due to a weather event, there may be a need for make-up days. Those are tentatively scheduled for May 27th and 28th of 2021.
Some important dates to note include that next school year, fall break will run from October 19th through the 23rd, Thanksgiving Break will be held November 25th through the 27th and Christmas Break will be start December 21st 2020 and run until January 1st, 2021.
Students will also have Martin Luther King Jr. Day off on January 18th, President’s Day off on February 15th and Spring Break 2021 will run from March 19th through the 30th.
