Tomorrow is the last day to donate to the Argos Elementary School’s annual Christmas food drive.
This is the third year that the School has hosted the drive and officials note that contributions will assist the community in a number of different ways.
For instance, donations of single-serving snack packages, microwavable pop corn, oatmeal, pop tarts, granola bars, canned soups and canned pastas will be utilized for the Blessings in a Backpack program.
Additionally, canned vegetables and fruits will be used by the Argos United Methodist Church to make food baskets for students and canned foods will also be donated to area food banks.
The elementary school classes are having a friendly competition to see who can bring in the most items and the one that wins will get a pizza party.
