Money from the Indiana Department of Education’s Teacher Appreciation Grant (TAG) has been distributed to Triton Teachers rated “effective” and “highly effective.”
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle noted that a total of $30,900 was received. Triton School Board members approved the TAG stipends at their meeting on Monday, November 11th and then teachers received their checks later that week.
When it comes to the bonuses, Superintendent Riffle explained that there is a 25 percent difference between teachers who received a “highly effective” evaluation compared to those who were ranked as “effective”.
Teachers who received an evaluation of “needs improvement” or those who are determined to be ineffective do not receive any grant funds.
