Argos families who may need a little extra help with Christmas this year have the opportunity to receive some assistance through the Shop with a Cop program.
This initiative links students with local law enforcement officials who take them on a little shopping spree, free of charge. Argos Community School Officials recently shared that applications are available in the Elementary School Office.
If you are unsure whether your students’ school participates in this program as well, reach out to administrators.
In addition to providing students with items they may need or want, Shop with a Cop also helps introduce them to the individuals who serve and protect the community. By bonding with students during this event, it gives children more confidence to ask for help from an officer if a situation ever calls for it.
The deadline to have applications submitted to the Argos Elementary School office is Monday, November 18th. If you have any questions, call 574-892-5136.
