Officials in Bourbon are looking into the various options that are out there to replace the Town’s existing electronic metering system for the water and wastewater department.
Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger shared that about 10 years ago, the Town switched over to an electronic meter-reading system. She noted that some of those meters are reaching the end of their life span so officials have started looking at what different companies offer as they consider system upgrades.
Berger said officials are expected to receive information and presentations from company representatives during upcoming Town Council meetings.
No official decisions have been reached but additional details will be shared as they become available.
