The Plymouth Community School Corporation’s capital projects plan for the years 2020 through 2022 was officially adopted by the school board Tuesday.
Some of the major projects anticipated over the coming years include parking lot repairs at Menominee Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Washington Discovery Academy, Riverside Intermediate School, and Plymouth High School, along with carpeting and ceiling work in various school buildings. School officials also plan to upgrade all of the buildings’ intercom systems.
Superintendent Andy Hartley told board members that the adopted plan meets the legal requirement to show anticipated capital expenditures of at least $10,000, but school officials have a more detailed document that they work off of.
The school board also approved the bus replacement plan for 2020 to 2024. It calls for the purchase of three buses a year, with each bus to remain in service for 12 years.
