In the late afternoon on Friday, Marshall County Central Dispatch advised that the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police were investigating a crash on US 30 and King Road involving a school bus.
Officials noted that only minor injuries were reported and nobody had to be transported by ambulance.
When contacted over the phone, Dispatch officials reported that the school bus belonged to the Plymouth Community School Corporation. Individuals were initially asked to avoid the area but the road has since re-opened.
On their social media account, Plymouth Community School Corporation representatives thanked the bus driver who reacted in a way that kept the students as safe as possible.
They also expressed their gratitude to emergency personnel, the director of safety and security, the current transportation director, and the recently retired transportation director who all responded to the scene.
Additional details will be provided as they become available.
