A motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday night is still under investigation by the Marshall County Police Department.
Shortly after 10 p.m. on August 31st, Marshall County Central Dispatch received a 911 call of a motorcycle accident near the intersection of State Road 17 and Sycamore Road.
Upon arriving at the scene it was found that 55-year-old Paul Grant Schwoerer, of Culver, had been driving a 2006 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. As he was traveling west on SR 17, at Sycamore Road, he reportedly failed to negotiate the curve at this intersection and ran off the roadway.
Schworer was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
The collision is still under investigation, however, authorities say that alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
The Marshall County Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department.
