When John Glenn School Board members met this week they provided approval for the advertisement of the 2020 bus replacement and capital project plans.
Recording Secretary Lisa Sleek said those two plans will be published in the Plymouth Pilot and the South Bend Tribune on Tuesday, September 10th. She said they’ll also be available on the school’s website soon.
Additionally, Sleek shared some important dates related to John Glenn’s 2020 Budget. Sleek said Form 3, which is a notice to the taxpayers and budget summary, will be submitted to Indiana Gateway by September 17th.
The public hearing for the budget is scheduled for the school board’s meeting on Tuesday, October 1st. The budget, as well as the capital projects and bus replacement plans, will be up for adoption during the board’s second meeting in October on Tuesday the 15th.
According to budget comparisons provided to school officials, the education fund for 2020 will see an increase of about 4.46 percent while the operations fund is expected to see a 2.9 percent increase.
In 2019, all funds in the budget totaled $18,140,292 and in 2020, that total is expected to be $19,051,707.
